About Grand Palace
Grand Palace is a chinese restaurant in Chicago, Illinois. It is listed at 225 W 26th St, Chicago, IL 60616, which places it among the local businesses of Chicago that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as restaurant, so it may cover more than the name suggests.
Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.
The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 amβ9 pm. It is closed on Wednesday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (312) 225-3888. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.
Customers rate it 4.5 out of 5 on Google across 447 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded chinese restaurants in Chicago.
Chicago is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Chicago follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Definitely a mom and dad type of restaurant. Hidden gem off the beaten path. Delicious food if you pay by cash you can receive a discount. Free parking in the front was a bonus. Definitely worth trying once if youβre in the area.

This is an authentic Chinese restaurant that truly feels like home when you walk in. The food is both affordable and delicious, making it a great value. The black pepper beef was especially tender and flavorful a definite highlight of the meal. Iβll definitely be coming back again! Lady boss was also so friendly

We visited this Chinese restaurant for dinner and tried a variety of authentic Cantonese dishes. There were five of us, and we ordered nine different items to sample. Everything was flavorful and delicious. My personal favorites were the steamed fish and duck. The fish was incredibly fresh and tender, with a soy sauce base and a hint of ginger. The duck was also very flavorfulβslightly salty, but it paired perfectly with white rice. The vegetable dishes were equally impressive. Overall, if youβre looking for authentic Cantonese cuisine, this is definitely a place to try!

Authentic Chinese cuisine! Great original taste of food. Swift service. Not the cleanest place I have been to. Communications within the restaurant are mainly in Mandarin (or rarely in Cantonese). Their original menu is not printed in English. One suggestion: if you want to really really taste the best of their food, please come with your Chinese friends (who can read Mandarin) who will guide you through the various items on the menu! Visiting again for sure. Last thing, try their duck. Itβs delicious!

I have visited Grand Palace for no less than 20 times - itβs hands down my favorite Chinese restaurant in Chicago. Perfect when youβre in the mood for home-cooked Cantonese food. The food is cheap and staff is super warm and welcoming! Some of my favorite dishes include the salt & pepper egg tofu, scrambled eggs w/ shrimp, pork belly w/ pepper, salted egg yolk squid, garlic pea shoots, and steamed fish!
